Dorchester man arrested in relation to Milford brush fire

A man has been arrested in relation to a brush fire that burned an area of woods in Milford, Massachusetts on Saturday.
Milford Police said 28-year-old Devonte Johnson of Dorchester was arrested Saturday morning on charges related to a brush fire that damaged Town Of Milford owned land in a wooded area on West Street.
Just before 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a report of a brush fire and a man, later identified as Johnson, running away from the scene.
Police said they ran after Johnson for a short period of time before they caught up to him and took into custody.
Johnson was held on $1500.00 bail before police said he was transported to the Worcester House of Corrections to await arraignment for charges of arson, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
